Chair at Multi-Story Orchestra
The Multi-Story Orchestra is looking to appoint a new Chair of Trustees to lead the organisation into the next stage of its development.
We’re looking for someone passionate about our work and eager to champion our values, to join our board in Spring 2025.
As a small and friendly team, we work closely and collaboratively. The Chair plays a key role in leading our board and providing vital support to our Executive and Artistic Directors.
With our rapid growth in recent years, we’re seeking a Chair who can help ensure our governance processes remain effective and that we continue to meet our charitable and funding commitments.
The role requires a commitment of 1-2 days per month, alongside four board meetings per year. This includes regular check-ins with the Artistic Director, Executive Director, and fellow trustees.
We’re seeking a candidate with a passion for Multi-Story’s work with young people and orchestral musicians, a strong commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion, proven leadership experience, governance knowledge, and dedication to safeguarding young people and vulnerable adults.
If you’d like an informal chat about the role, feel free to email trustees@multi-story.org.uk.
To apply, please send your CV and a short statement to trustees@multi-story.org.uk, answering the following:
- Can you tell us a bit about yourself—what you do and what you’re interested in?
- What do you like about Multi-Story, and why?
- Why do you want to chair our board?
- What do you think you could personally bring to Multi-Story? This can be anything!
