The vision of the Scottish Chamber Orchestra is to be a world class orchestra that nurtures exceptional music making for all. The SCO is seeking an outstanding candidate to fill the shared position of Leader (Concertmaster), for approximately 50% of the Orchestra’s playing schedule. This role as a permanent performing member of the SCO offers flexibility in workload, which can be negotiated by the post-holder. Alongside leading commitments there will be directing, solo and chamber opportunities.
There will be two rounds of auditions:
- The first round will be an open call for digital submissions
- The second round will consist of a live audition, to be held in Edinburgh (dates TBC).
