BLiM and Warner Classics Celebrate Emerging Black Talent

Black Lives in Music (BLiM) and Warner Classics recently hosted an exclusive brunch celebrating emerging Black and underrepresented talent shortlisted for Classically Black 2024. Held at Warner Music Group’s central London offices, the event highlighted Warner Classics’ commitment to increasing diversity and representation within classical music.

During the event, Warner Classics announced an exciting new mentorship programme, designed to provide performers from Emerging Talent Showcase with invaluable guidance, resources, and professional support from industry leaders, label executives, and mentors. This initiative further addresses systemic inequalities by nurturing exceptional artists who are redefining classical music for contemporary audiences.

The brunch emphasised the importance of collaborative efforts in fostering inclusivity and lasting change within the classical music industry. BLiM continues to empower artists and advocate for equality across the sector.
