BLiM Connect Launch Event

Earlier this month we launched the second round of BLiM Connect, our mentoring programme tailored for graduating students of color pursuing degrees in music-related fields.

The core objective of this program is to match students with seasoned professionals from the music industry for mentoring sessions, encompassing face-to-face interactions, work experiences, and other advantageous opportunities. The ultimate goal is to provide essential support and foster the development of the mentees’ skills within their chosen career paths.

The launch event, held at Kings Place in London, was a fantastic get together where mentees and mentors had the chance to meet and network, setting the stage for a rewarding 4-month mentoring journey. Against the backdrop of DJ mister’s vibrant tunes, the evening also featured appearances from BLiM CEO, Dr. Charisse Beaumont, and Director Dr. Roger Wilson. Senior Project Manager, Kieran Bryant, also shared insights into the project’s objectives.

We extend our sincere gratitude to everyone involved. Here’s to a successful and impactful mentoring program, and we look forward to the positive outcomes that will undoubtedly emerge from this collaborative effort!
