Celebrating Music & Musicians: Charisse Beaumont Joins Festival of St Cecilia

Last week, our CEO Charisse Beaumont, a Trustee of Help Musicians, had the honour of participating in the Festival of St Cecilia, presented by Help Musicians at the iconic St Paul’s Cathedral. This annual celebration, held in the heart of London, brought together music lovers, industry professionals, and supporters to honour the power and significance of music in our lives.

Charisse shared a heartfelt reading during the event, reflecting on the festival’s deep connection to creativity, social justice, and spirituality. Speaking about her experience, she said:

“It’s wonderful to be part of the Festival of St Cecilia—it’s such a beautiful occasion. This event wonderfully showcases the impact of Help Musicians and their fundamental commitment to truly empowering musicians. It’s a powerful reminder of the importance of music and its profound influence on the world. The Festival of St Cecilia resonates deeply with my core beliefs, bringing together social justice, creativity, and God. It’s a privilege to be taking part in this celebration at St. Paul’s Cathedral and a dream come true.”

Charisse’s involvement reflects the strong partnership between Black Lives in Music and Help Musicians, both organisations committed to empowering musicians and fostering inclusivity within the industry. This collaboration highlights the shared values of supporting artists and celebrating the transformative power of music.
